Cheese Board
Hand-thrown stoneware cheese board with a matte glaze finish and an aspirational Pollock touch
2024 • StonewareI started ceramics in 2024 through Joa's classes, and I've been hooked since. I'm not exactly gifted with manual skills (quite the opposite), but there's something about shaping clay that feels both frustrating and deeply satisfying. It's become a space to disconnect, to struggle a bit, and to enjoy the process of creating something tangible—however imperfect. Here's a small selection of pieces I've made along the way.

2024 • StonewareSmall bowl with with a bubly finish. This was my second piece.
2024 • White clayMy first ever piece with a rusty finish. I'm not sure if I like it or not.
2024 • Terracotta clayInspired on an idea I saw on Pinterest, this is stand for soap or cleaning sponge. Was also on of the most complex pieces I've made.
2024 • White claySmall vase with a matte finish. It's very imperfect, but I like how it turned out.
2024 • White clayOne of the things I've repeated most are these sort of small faces. This was the first one toguether with the following one.
2024 • White clayThis one was made with a different clay, and it's a bit more imperfect (specially the beard). I like it.
2024 • White clayThis one’s for the kids — a tiger face, intentionally a bit childish, as a gift for a friend’s child.
